Human Systems

This case study outlines our team’s work in defining the vision for an AI-powered education platform under the Human Systems initiative. The project aimed to reimagine traditional learning by integrating advanced technology with a human-centered approach, focusing on personalization, well-being, and ethical AI use. Central to our vision is a Dialogic AI, designed to harness the power of dialogue for deeper learning and engagement, meeting the evolving needs of learners and supporting lifelong growth.

Learning that fosters the whole human being—as an individual and as part of a greater community—to create a more human-centric and equitable world.

Imagination Workshop

Our core team of 4 spent the first few weeks preparing for a workshop with the larger Human Systems team. The goal for this workshop was to find foundational alignment on some of the big questions. The workshop took place both IRL in San Francisco and online, with experts from many different backgrounds. The flows, mood boards and activities we prepared sparked useful conversion and overall gathered a positive response.

One of the key decisions we were able to gather consensus around was the physical representation of the AI. Although the subject remained very open we agreed that a realistic human representation didn’t resonate with Human System’s strategic positioning.

Exploration

After digesting what we heard during the workshop we spent time reworking flows and exploring new ones. We also dove into visual explorations.

Shaping the vision

There isn’t a set list of things that Our product pillars provide a definitive guide for all stages of development to deliver the most valuable and impactful experience for the user.

Taking cues from the natural world, our product communicates through

color, physics, and motion, creating a technological experience that feels truly organic and alive.

The AI

As color and motion combine, the AI has a direct impact on the tone of the experience, shaping the feeling of each moment with its form, movement, placement, and color.

The experience is designed to create ease and simplicity as a foundational environment to bring forth a range of adaptive and compelling learning experiences that surprise and delight, promote active engagement, and prioritize an ideal flow state of learning.

Maya’s story

To better illustrate our vision we created a narrative that . Her story allowed us to demonstrate how the Human System product adapts to individual needs and provides guidance and support to help them achieve their learning goals.

Maya works with L.E., exploring learning in her own way, and on her own time.

Maya is amazed at how intuitive L.E. is, how well it knows her, how it both challenges and supports her on a journey that is uniquely her own.

L.E. is flexible to her, but she can depend on L.E. to help keep her moving forward to her goals.

Each day, L.E. checks in with Maya in order to better understand and adapt to her evolving needs.
